Optometric Technician

We have Optometric Technician positions open at our Ridgeland location.·

Job Duties include:

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone)
• · Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile
• · Practice urgency at all times with patient’s time, as well as doctor’s time and schedule
• · Comply with all company policies and procedures
• · Verify patient information by interviewing patient
• · Record medical history, current medications, and purpose of visit
• · Record all data in the patient's electronic medical record
• · Check condition of patient's eyes by observing pupils, muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movements
• · Desired skills include: performing dilation, pressure check, and a variety of diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, auto refraction, and topography
• · Demonstrate working knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms, and ocular medications
• · General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager
• · Other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Ophthalmology: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Ridgeland, MS 39157: Relocate before starting work (Required)
