Central Denver Eyecare is seeking to add a receptionist to join our team. You will be responsible for managing our Front Desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. The position comes with many benefits including a $200 stipend for medical insurance monthly, paid time off, and extensive bonus structure. 9 paid holidays a year, including Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve. Work schedule is 8:45 am to 6:15 pm 4 days a week with an extra 2 hour attendance bonus each week for showing up on time and working your schedule. Monthly and Quarterly bonuses based on overall practice production. Monthly and quarterly bonuses are routinely achieved. Our Receptionist’s duties include scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying patient insurance benefits prior to arrival, processing payment and orders for contact lens supply. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, organized and work well with others, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus. Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the Front Desk welcomes guests positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards. Occasionally duties cross over to optician responsibilities. Prior optical experience is required. Our staff and doctors are hardworking, easy going, and work as team. We are looking to add a staff member that is energetic, friendly, and works well with others.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Schedule appointments via phone and internet
- Confirm appoints the day before they are schedule
- Verifying patient insurance benefits prior to appointment dates and coordinate any pertinent information with patients if necessary
- Order contacts
- Process payments
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
