Our Organization and Mission: The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States. 

 

Pay: $15 Hourly

 

Position Summary: This position is in the Civil Legal Services - Child Support Enforcement Division. An OPS Senior Clerk must maintain thorough working knowledge of agency and legal activities as well as child support program policies and procedures; ability to use computers and related technology, and software efficiently. 

 

Qualifications: Two years of secretarial or clerical work experience.  
College education from an accredited institution can substitute on a year for year basis for each year of the required work experience.
Vocational/Technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience. 
A high school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one year of the required work experience.  
Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

 

The Work You Will Do: The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Fileroom/Files                                                                                                                     

  • Will be responsible for the scanning and archiving of files to eliminate the physical files currently housed in our file room.

Data Entry

  • Update activity and status in all necessary databases to meet deadlines and contractual performance standards.
  • Timely review and triage all incoming mail (electronic and/or hard copy), update in appropriate databases, and accurately distribute or process for next appropriate action.

Administrative

  • Performs miscellaneous office administration tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, e-filing, faxing, and delivers documents to partners.
  • Answer multi-line telephones, direct callers appropriately, and check voicemail daily. 

Case Management

  • Assist the legal assistants, paralegals and/or attorneys with post court related activities as directed.
