Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates Roll Mill equipment to produce steel products according to specifications
- Changes Roll Mill rollers, adjusts rollers, and tests the output
- Checks parts with proper gauges and makes necessary adjustments to conform to specifications
- Performs cutting and welding operations on steel as required
- Helps unload trucks brining coils to the Roll Mill and helps load trucks with product to be shipped
- Ensures that safety and housekeeping standards are met and maintained.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ months experience operating forklift
- 6+ months experience operating a crane
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and work instructions
- Ability to operate a computer to run reports, send and receive communication, etc.
- Ability to work in a team or independently
- High School diploma or equivalency test/GED
- 1+ years’ experience in operating various types of manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Production environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, moving machinery and trip hazards where personal protective equipment is required:
- Hard Hat
- Hearing Protection
- Composite Toe Safety Shoes
- Additional PPE per the appropriate JSA for the specific area
