We are hiring a Marine Mammal Operations Supervisor in Kings Bay, Georgia.
The person that fills this role will perform comprehensive supervision of staff supporting the Navy Marine Mammal Program (NMMP) and will be expected to perform the following:
- Supervise comprehensive support of 24/7 operations in support of force protection systems
- Supervise diving operations and marine mammal training
- Support the staffing of candidates suited to operations in the maritime environment
- Personnel must be able to work flexible work hours (shift work) including weekends and holidays.
- A requirement for this position includes the ability to travel with animals for extended periods of time anywhere in the world, to include potentially harsh environmental and high-risk locations, within 72 hours' notice.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any field or 10 years' experience supporting the NMMP in lieu of a degree
- 10 years' experience supporting the NMMP
- Experience as a marine mammal assistant
- Experience as a marine mammal watch section supervisor and/or watch stander
- Dive supervisor & closed circuit diving experience
- Must be able to obtain a secret level security clearance, US Citizenship is required to meet the security requirements for this contract.
Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
