Job Description:

UPS is seeking a Legal Department Operations Supervisor to perform management responsibilities within the Legal Operations team. These include working with Legal Department members and outside providers globally to support department process execution and technology platform utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support and project coordination to members of the UPS Legal Department globally to improve processes while seeking opportunities to reduce cost.
  • Supports the Legal Department Controller to execute accounts payable processes.
  • Supports department efforts to source, evaluate, test, train, implement and support various legal technology platforms.
  • Develops and distributes matter and spend reports and dashboards to support attorneys and practice groups.
  • Supports relationships with outside providers globally, including onboarding, administration of outside counsel guidelines, invoice processing, resolution of invoicing issues, monthly accruals, matter budgets, and timekeeper rate analysis and benchmarking.
  • Trains and assists legal teams with spend, matter, and provider management tools and processes.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrates a proactive, solution-oriented and customer service mindset.
  • Accounts payable and budget management experience.
  • Experience with legal technology platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power Apps.
  • Excellent people skills - able to work cross-functionally and globally, with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a manner that fosters a positive working relationship.
  • Understanding of project planning and execution, with the ability to provide timely, accurate, and concise updates.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) – Required
