Operations Supervisor
Monarch Shores is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our operations team dedicated to mental health and substance abuse recovery. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k, and more worksite benefits! This position is salaried at $65,560.00 per year.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Supervisor will supervise, train, evaluate, schedule and administer responsibilities of all Behavioral Health Technicians of Monarch Shores. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for documenting activities, modeling expectations of a Behavioral Health Technician, educate Behavioral Health Technicians of job duties and responsibilities as well as monitoring daily responsibilities and improve quality of care. The Operations Supervisor will also assist therapist and case managers with crisis management, groups, and education, as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist DOO in the provision of services to Behavioral Health Technicians.
  2. Monitor the needs and behaviors of Behavioral Health Technicians.
  3. Continues to learn about alcohol and/or drug abuse and alcoholism and the principles of recovery.
  4. Assist with on-site activities, therapeutic support groups, outings and community meetings, as assigned.
  5. Schedule outings approved by clinical.
  6. Document the Behavioral Health Technician shift responsibilities and expectations of Monarch Shores.
  7. Monitor Behavioral Health Technicians' job duties and responsibilities while on shift.
  8. Provide Behavioral Health Technician orientation training.
  9. Provide Behavioral Health Technician training to improve quality of care.
  10. Utilize principles of communicable disease prevention and control.
  11. Recognize early signs of illness and the need for professional assistance and follow through & reports this to the DOO and Clinical Director.
  12. Assist in the availability of community services and resources.
  13. Recognize individuals under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and documents when needed in an Incident Report.
  14. Respond to emergencies and initiates action as required.
  15. Discuss significant events involving client’s activities with Treatment Team.
  16. Follow HIPAA Regulations.
  17. Be awake during all shifts.
  18. Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
  19. Understand all state, federal, licensing and accreditation requirements.
  20. Ensure all houses are up to code for Licensing and Accreditation requirements.
  21. Able to fulfill/maintain a weekly schedule for each house.
  22. Be prepared at any time to come in/fill in any void in schedule or help in any eminent situations.
  23. Fill out weekly reports.
  24. Fulfill any vacancies in driving schedules.
  25. Supervise and report medication issues with clients.
  26. Write weekly expense reports for all company cards.
  27. Fill in for medical staff when they are not available.
  28. Ensure that 3rd party services are providing optimum care
  29. Oversee and facilitate hiring, training, and scheduling new staff and accommodate human resources requirements.
  30. Behavioral Health Technician discipline and documentation and facilitate all monthly residential staff meetings.
  31. Edit timecards every pay period.
  32. Make sure vehicles get gas when needed/maintenance.
  33. Report any residential maintenance to facilities.
  34. Keep an open line of communication with department heads daily.
  35. Facilitate house moves and bed changes scheduled by admissions.
  36. Ensure that clinical has all needed paperwork.
  37. Other duties, as assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Possess a basic knowledge of administrative functions including, interpersonal communications, office etiquette, and computer skills.
  • Possess strong work ethic and high standards of workmanship.
  • Possess an introductory understanding of chemical dependency
  • Possess an introductory understanding of the 12-step process
  • Possess active listening skills in the ongoing development and education of residential treatment services.
  • Basic knowledge of HIPPA compliance and privacy measures
QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERENCES:
  • 1. At least two years of management experience.
  • 2. At least one year of sobriety if in recovery.
  • 3. Experience, knowledge or interest in chemical dependency and abuse.
  • 4. Valid RADT or RAC
  • 5. Ability to communicate and work effectively with diversity.
  • 6. Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
