Role Purpose Statement
The Operations Supervisor at LSG SkyChefs plays a vital role in the efficient and safe transportation of catering supplies to airports, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality in-flight catering services to our airline clients. This position involves supervising a team of drivers and coordinators, overseeing daily operations, and implementing strategies to enhance transportation efficiency.
Main Accountabilities
Supervision and Team Leadership:

• Lead and manage a team of transportation personnel, including drivers, dispatchers, and coordinators.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational excellence.
• Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and a commitment to achieving departmental goals.

Route Planning and Dispatch:

• Plan and optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
• Coordinate the timely dispatch of vehicles and drivers to various airport destinations.
• Monitor and adjust routes in real-time to accommodate changing circumstances or delays.

Asset Management:

• Ensure the proper maintenance and utilization of transportation assets, including vehicles and equipment.
• Oversee vehicle inspections and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage inventory of transportation supplies and equipment.

Safety and Compliance:

• Uphold strict safety standards and regulatory compliance in all transportation activities.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions for transportation team members.
• Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement:

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation, such as on-time delivery rates and fuel efficiency.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance transportation operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and optimize supply chain integration.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, maintenance records, and delivery documentation.

Generate reports on transportation performance and present findings to management as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge required
• In addition, one to three years of related work experience required
• Problem solving and leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve productivity goals
• Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required along with the ability to multi-task

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
