Warehouse Operations Supervisor
Priority Tire is one of the nation's fastest-growing tire distribution companies. With 5 warehouses across the country and a growing workforce. Priority Tire provides budget friendly low-cost radial tires to our customers. This position will be integral to the development of our 5th and newest location in Naperville, IL.
We are looking for Warehouse Operations Supervisors to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will manage safety, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall market share. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
SUMMARY:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of warehouse activities in receiving, warehousing, distribution, and shipping. The Operations Supervisor is a hands-on role providing the appropriate level of instruction and direction to ensure employees have clear path to operational success. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, inventory management, product bin replenishment, on time shipping and receiving, quality compliance, and ensuring the safety and security of the warehouse. The Operations Supervisor will also provide management and direction to warehouse associates in a positive, problem-solving attitude, be innovative, and results-oriented and lead by example.
Warehouse Operations Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies and regulatory compliance in all work environment areas.
- Promotes a positive safety culture through leadership and by example.
- Assists with human resource management functions of recruiting, selecting, coaching, and motivating, performance reviews, and discipline of warehouse associates.
- Plans and coordinates all daily work, monitoring and evaluating performance of associates utilizing KPIs.
- Trains, motivates, and assists in the development and growth of employees by cross training and on-the-job training.
- Monitors warehouse operations systems by tracking performance.
- Manages warehouse operations by stock control and inventory management.
- Challenges associates to be more productive.
- Preserves associate relations through regular pre-shift meetings.
- Continuously monitor space needs, consolidating when possible.
- Monitors the proper utilization of Company assets in support of the warehouse.
Warehouse Operations Supervisor Qualifications and Skills:
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience; NetSuite or RF Smart a plus.
- Proficient Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and spreadsheets.
- Must be flexible and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with effective communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
- Warehouse Management: 3 years (Required)
- E-commerce: 1+ years (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
License/Certification:
- Forklift Certification (Required)
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in logistics or related field (Preferred)
Salary: From $58,000.00 per year and is based upon experience
