Job Purpose:

Under minimal direction, the Operations Manager oversees and optimizes operations activities, including labor, productivity, quality control, and safety management for Warehousing and Transportation departments.

The primary objective will be to ensure efficient and effective order fulfillment processes, streamline logistics, and drive results through solid communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse, ensuring seamless inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves strategic planning, coordination with various teams, and hands-on supervision of warehouse activities along with overall day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions, including managing and optimizing the transportation of goods on the backhaul leg of the supply chain, which may include calculating driver payroll, reviewing driver trip logs and expense reports, identifying and resolving problems, and ensuring that drivers are compliant with DOT regulations and FreshOne policies and procedures.

This position will collaborate with the Senior Manager of Operations to create solutions and procedures to overcome challenges with rapid growth. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager of Operations. The position will be based out of Dallas, Texas office.

Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

· Serve in a key leadership role, driving operations excellence in all company areas ensuring successful financial results.

· Accountable for inventory management and accuracy

· Directly manage the transportation staff and drivers, which includes training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution

· Provide supervision, guidance, and support to all team members regarding operations, standardized procedures, and systems.

· Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by providing clear direction, setting expectations, and motivating your team.

· Ensure efficient and effective order fulfillment processes, streamline logistics, and drive results through solid communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

· Consistently collaborates with other department leaders and direct report staff to enhance the work environment and set measurable goals for the overall success of all warehouse operations.

· Develop and implement appropriate KPI's and SOP's for achieving reliability and quality goals.

· Carry out other projects as directed by the Senior Operations Manager

· Enforce safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Monitoring and controlling operating expenses to ensure they are in line with the budget and do not adversely affect profitability.

· Establishing and monitoring KPIs to measure the financial health and performance of the business unit.

· Work requires reasonable judgment in applying and interpreting policy, procedures, or precedents to problems of a well-defined nature.

· Work requires personal contact with others outside the department to affect the final determination of problems of a recurring but non-routine nature.

· Demonstrated practical interpersonal skills to interact with all employees within the organization.

· Demonstrated planning and problem-solving/investigative skills as required to research inquiries related to job responsibilities.

· Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and assignments; high flexibility required.

· Skilled in both verbal and written communication.

· Optimize warehouse layout and storage to maximize space utilization, along with implementation and enforce organization and cleanliness standards.

· Demonstrated ability to provide information to staff to maximize productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. This position is classified as essential, and those employed are expected to report to work in all conditions unless otherwise directed.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred. Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a plus. Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, and service industries is helpful. Established computer skills and specific familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Teams) required.

3. Level 3: Ideate, Research and Recommend to manager

4. Level 4: Recommend, Implement and Report with manager input

Level 5: Act Independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
