Position Description:
The International Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and developing the employees across our International Operations Departments. Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices. Successful candidates must show an ability to drive employee performance within the day-to-day operations to fulfill the organization’s mission and values.
* This role can be located anywhere in the US and will manage operations teams located in India. This position will not require overseas travel and can be performed from your home.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overseas operations team
- Foster a cohesive work environment between the operations team and other departments
- Adapt quickly to changes and coordinate updated trainings
- Identify any process gaps and reinforce process with operations team
- Collaborate with management on process improvement strategies
- Responsible for developing and executing operational plans to best meet business goals
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of operational processes and systems on an ongoing basis to drive continuous improvement
- Support long-term growth and improvement in the operations side of the business
- Leverage scale by driving change and creating synergies
- Leading, Managing, and holding the operations accountable to performance standards
- Maintains and assures that proper communication is effectively distributed to all operational employees
- Create an atmosphere that engages and motivates the workforce
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to quickly pivot with new changes
- Build morale among teams due to virtual environment
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with all levels of the onshore and offshore departments
- Flexible, dependable, self-starter, and capable of quickly learning new products and technologies
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
- Able to develop creative solutions to complex problems and gain buy-in of colleagues across functions
- Excellent leadership skills to develop and motivate others; must demonstrate experience leading and developing team members
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Highly driven to achieve quick results
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary guidance
Education and Experience:
- 5-7 years business experience, including a proven track record of performance in strategy and operations role
- Prior experience managing an offshore operations team preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a closely related field
- Prior experience working in a financial services field preferably in business lending
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
Physical Demands:
The physical demands of the position are typical of those found in a traditional office environment. Employee will not need to walk significant distances nor lift substantial weight. Employee will need to be able to remain seated at a desk for 8-9 hours in a typical workday.
