Operations Manager - Schenectady

Job Summary:
Energy Hardware seeks a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to direct all operational aspects of a distribution warehouse while supporting commercial initiatives and quality programs. Responsibilities include managing staff and fostering a positive work environment.  This hands-on role demands a commitment to driving business growth and implementing productivity-boosting strategies.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Direct all operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, human resources, and administrative.
• Cultivate an inclusive and supportive environment for staff.  Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development opportunities aligned with organizational needs. Communicate clear direction and expectations.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement and propose solutions that leverage growth opportunities and address challenges.
• Supervise and support sales operations through a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, requirements, and opportunities.
• Oversee all logistics for transporting product (inbound and outbound), communicating with transportation partners to ensure efficient delivery.
• Understand the quality control procedures and ensure they are adhered to throughout the order fulfillment process. Escalate any quality concerns to the relevant team and work collaboratively to find solutions.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and regular audits.
• Manage facility maintenance by planning maintenance work to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of distribution or supply chain management experience required
• 3+ years of proven success in a management role having cross-functional responsibility
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
