Duties
As an Operations Manager in the food industry, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process and ensuring efficiency and quality in food processing from beginning to end. Your job will be to coordinate with and hold teams accountable to ensure that company standards are met in every production. Your duties will include:
- Managing day-to-day operations of the production facility
- Ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and food safety standards
- Implementing and maintaining HACCP protocols
- Supervising staff to meet production goals daily, weekly, and monthly
- Utilizing mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Collaborating with department managers to maintain product standards
- Conducting regular inspections to identify areas for improvement
Experience
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following experience and skills:
- High level of attention to detail is a must
- Proven ability holding staff accountable and meeting deadlines/budgets
- Proven track record of success leading teams
- Ability to work with Production (Kitchen) and Administrative teams
- Previous experience in Food Production or processing industry
- Knowledge of fabricating processes in a food manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with basic math for inventory management and production planning
- Proficiency in operating a commercial kitchen and material handling within the facility
