We currently have need for a3rd ShiftOperationsManager.This position will be Responsible for establishing and executing the policies and procedures necessary to manage the physical manipulation of express cargo within, into, and out of the HUB in a safe but expedited manner while ensuring that the entire process meets customer and internal requirements.Serve as subject-matter expert in HUB operations including project management, network control, ramp and warehouse operation. Act as liaison with local service operations, aviation, gateway and Americas network.
Key Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates Hub operational activities to ensure the safe, timely and cost effective processing of air express cargo freight.
• Implements and directs quality control programs for all operational areas.
• Establishes, monitors, and revises policies, procedures, and service standards for hub operations.
• Directs and ensures compliance (Global SOP Standards) with established DHL corporate, hub, gateway and airline policies, procedures and standards in accordance with government regulations.
• Serves as expert advisor to peers on operational execution.
• Communicates with some or all of the following: systems operations control, load control, facilities maintenance, sort, ramp, gateway and USCustoms to ensure efficient and safe operation of the hub.
• Supervises the identification and segregation of non-conforming and dangerous goods cargo and informs the applicable department according to proper processes and procedures.
• Supervises, coordinates, provides leadership to, and reviews the work of professional and supervisory level employees in order to accomplish operational plans and results.
• Manages 2-5 direct reports; responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing staff.
• Collaborates with senior management as necessary to deliver strategic business results.
• Implements business strategies with direct impact on business unit/functional results.
• Provides technical assistance and advises staff of changes to company policies and goals.
• Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures and performance management processes.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related field of study.
• Minimum 6 - 8 years of experience managing a Hub/Gateway Operation and/or cargo production environment
• Expert knowledge in handling air cargo, ramp and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of America's network and DHL's business and core processes to make relevant assessments and recommendations.
• Decision making skills to take clear and prompt decisions within main operational responsibilities.
• Organizational skills to plan and optimize the different operational procedures related to warehouse operations and staffing schedules.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to build collaborative working relationships across groups.
• Ability to identify, analyze and solve operational challenges, to guarantee a timely and effective operation, in compliance with the GSOP of the company.
• Surpass the high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety and security with respect to the management of warehouse operation.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including day or night shift, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
