Position Purpose:
The Operations Manager will organize and oversee the day-to-day activities and operations of a multi-disciplinary Vivent Health Center, including leadership and oversight of the Vivent Health medical home model and all other programs and services in the assigned area. The Operations Manager collaborates with the operations leadership and other members of corporate services on financial management and continuity of quality care and service provided by the agency.
Essential Functions
Financial
- Manages and adjusts operational budgets as needed.
Operations
- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations; medical, dental, behavioral health, food, and nutrition services, amongst other divisions to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
- Implements Vivent Health approved policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations as well as customer service and satisfaction.
- Ensures proper maintenance of work environments and health centers are to standard.
- Leads, implements, and ensures safety standards and quality assurance measures are in place.
- Other duties as assigned.
Leading Teams
- Provides overall supervision to a HIV/AIDS team that includes clinicians, nurses, social workers, and administrative staff.
- Participates in the hiring and training of local supervisory roles.
- Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental leadership.
- Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to local leadership; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
- Conducts performance evaluations and provides timely and constructive performance feedback.
- Maintains the highest professional ethics and is honest in dealing with people; is a model for all employees through their actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, health information management and technology, healthcare administration management, or business equivalent relevant experience defined as at least 4 years of manager experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience in a health care organization.
- Previous experience leading within clinical operations including budgetary and staff.
- Valid Driver License, insurable driving record and access to a reliable insured vehicle.
- ASO experience, non-profit experience.
- Experience leading and/or designing teams.
- Budgetary responsibility.
- Community facing experience.
- Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
- Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a commitment to participatory decision-making with a large management team.
- Excellent organizational, diplomacy and leadership skills.
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of diverse cultural customs, beliefs, and needs of consumer group(s) served.
- Sensitivity to and knowledge of HIV/AIDS related issues.
- Working knowledge of Spanish language (bilingual) is a plus.
Salary:
Starting at $85,000/annually (Depending on Experience)
