Position Title: Operations Manager
Department: Operations
Reports to: Director of Operations
Supervises: Uniformed Personnel
Classification: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership and direction of all uniformed personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the management of Operations on a day-to-day basis
• Responsible for promotion, discipline, team building and hiring determination for assigned staff
• Responsible for the employee recognition program
• Assist in the development of the annual Operations budget, and is accountable for operating within the budget limits for the current fiscal year
• Responsible for maintaining contractual obligations with a focus on financial sustainability
• Support and implement the philosophies, objectives, policies, procedures and practices of PatientCare EMS
• Responsible for system planning, both long term and short term, associated with assigned areas
• Other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
• Minimum two years' experience within the REMSA system
Education and Certifications
• Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• REMSA & NREMT Certified Paramedic
Competencies
• Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities; basic computer skills
• Effective communication and human relations skills
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local statutes

• Professional office environment
• Occasional travel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is required to sit; climb or balance; step, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or carry a minimum of 125 pounds up to 200 pounds.
