Position Summary:
Entry-level position that provides support to Operations Engineering and participates in a rotational program that includes various assignments in Drilling, Completions, and Production with additional opportunities available in Reservoir, Planning, and Facilities. Perform technical post-job analysis to maximize production and reduce cost, and assists in the development and implementation of new Operations engineering procedures. Will participate in an initial developmental program designed to accelerate learning and camaraderie through exposure to all departments with an active role in the lifecycle of a Marcellus Shale Well.
Responsibilities may include:
- Identify and gather information on current processes and future operational conditions using fieldwork, sampling, databases and technical reports
- Assists in obtaining higher efficiencies, better procedures and more cost effective methods for completing wells by performing technical analysis on current/past production
- Generate initial production reports for wells using flow-back reports and gas analysis. Make recommendations based on the analysis
- Work on production data QA/QC ensuring accurate production data between the field SCADA and production reporting software
- Assist with design and monitor frac jobs throughout the full job cycle
- Provide hands-on assistance in field operations in order to learn multidiscipline engineering processes
- Compiles analysis information for Operations Manager to present to group on regular basis
- Monitor daily progress of projects, track bit performance, well path and AFE vs actual costs
- Assist well site supervisors with procedures and operational logistics
- Perform well reviews and identify workover candidates, AFEs and budget requirements
- Prepare workover and completion procedures as needed and maintain records keeping in areas such as well work histories and wellbore diagrams
- Participate in production optimization, data collection and analysis, measurement and process improvements
- Monitor performance of gas conditioning and transport processes through physical and chemical analysis and compare performance with established standards
- Prepare and improve material specifications to assure reliable operating performance. Perform calculations for improving gas process facilities, considering product specifications, results from process diagnosis, actual operation data, manufacturer data and existing infrastructure
- Use project management tools to plan and control scope, schedule and cost of assigned projects. Use process models and correlations to represent gas processes in the steady state to predict variables for design input
- Prepare detailed drilling procedures including casing, bits, hydraulics, directional, fluids, and cementing programs
- Design, size specify gas production equipment, safety systems, separation equipment, tank storage, vapor recovery, incineration, gas conditioning, electrical, instrumentation automation, RTU, custody transfer M R. Prepare test procedures. Uses process modeling tools

Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelors in Engineering; Petroleum preferred
Minimum Experience: Prior internship or work experience in the oil/gas industry or applicable required
Skills: Knowledge of basic engineering principles, analytical skills, verbal written communication skills, Technical writing

Working Conditions: Working conditions vary based on the location of the work performed. Work performed in an office is typically in a climate controlled indoor setting.
