Overview:
The Operations Director is responsible for providing overall leadership for all aspects of an assigned facility to include warehousing, transportation, finance and administration.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments in the organization.
  • Review financial statements and data and utilize data to improve profitability.
  • Prepare and control operational budgets.
  • Control total inventory management by ensuring the compliance of receiving and inventory control procedures; Develop/recommend alterations to procedures and best practices as warranted.
  • Plan effective strategies for the financial wellbeing of the company.
  • Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
  • Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
  • Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing, pricing and distribution of goods.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and implement improvements.
  • Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity.
  • Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery.
  • Provide technical support where necessary.
  • Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
  • Implement and manage operational plans.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator s license and the ability to obtain and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws.
  • Experience in wholesale or operational management or other related industries.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP system or similar system.
Physical Demands:
  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine.
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs.
