- The CO will maintain an active flash card on all inmates.
- Ensure rosters are maintained and kept accurate with all changes being made as movement occurs.
- Ensure all keys and other equipment assigned to the area are accounted for and maintained security of sensitive information used in the Operations Sections.
- Maintain a high standard of sanitation with assigned area.
- Ensure inmates comply with established clearance procedures when being released or transferred.
- Any other duties assigned by Supervisor
- Visitation: Continuously supervise visitors and inmates during their visit and enforce all rules pertaining to visitation. The includes ensuring proper decorum during visitation and compliance with contraband statues, policies and local rules and directives. Report situations to their immediate supervisor and the Duty Warden that may require termination of a visit.

- Must have 12 months' work experience in corrections, military or law enforcement.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- 18 years of age or older
- High school graduate or GED
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Tattoos: Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Cannot have been convicted of a crime with a maximum allowable sentence of one year or more, or a fine of $1,000.
- Must pass a physical examination administered by SCDC.
SCDC INTERNAL APPLICANTS: Must also have completed Defensive Driving Training and cannot be on the "No Drive List and or the No Draw List" with SCDC.
