Responsible for providing administrative support specific to Position Control and Personnel Transaction Management for the Nurse Managers within a Service Line.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains position control documents for each assigned unit ensuring position transactions are entered into the appropriate systems, accurately and timely.
  • Accurately processes any APPROVED status transactions new hires, terminations, transfers, work status changes, clinical ladder advancements (MSH only), leave status, etc. that could impact position control and payroll.
  • Collaborates with site assigned Leave Coordinators for follow up on the accurate identification of approved LOA’s and Return from LOA’s and communicates with Employee Health Service to reenter employees that were cleared to return to work as required.
  • Initiates, monitors and troubleshoots HR transactions in appropriate systems (Cloud, Sinai Central, Kronos, ClairVia, AcuStaff, ANSOS. etc.) demonstrating proficiency in navigating Time and Attendance Systems.
  • Initiates payroll inquiry requests, researches discrepancies and payment issues and conveys update to Payroll supervisor.
  • Tracks hours of Part-time 1199 nursing staff to avoid the conversion to a FT work status.
  • Tracks Travel RN end dates in WAND and is proactive to initiate the renewal process if requested and approved in a timely manner to avoid gaps in service.
  • Develops and follows a tracking system in collaboration with the unit nurse manager and Director of the service line.
  • Develops a positive working relationship with all departmental employees to communicate intent to separate/transfer from unit/site.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $23.01 - $34.52 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
