Provide analytical support in executing internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB/ECF. Gather and organize data in order to monitor and test the effectiveness of key controls and status of mitigation and action plans. Prepare documentation for the tracking,
monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues to management. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture. Incumbents typically have over 5+ years of risk management and/or LOB/ECF experience. Maintain relationships with business partners and key risk partners to meet business needs, while managing AML compliance requirements and risks. Develop and direct staff. Incumbents typically have over 6+ years of operations experience.
Responsibilities:
Provide operational support for Global Markets and Global Banking FLUs to ensure client and bank-initiated client account closures are off boarded across Global Markets and Global Banking within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with internal bank and financial industry AML KYC policies.
Responsible for the oversight and management of client and account identifiers to ensure the entire relationship is off boarded and the disposition of client activities is socialized with the appropriate FLU business partner teams. Manages operations functions that typically have a high level of regulatory risk, monetary exposure, and loss potential due to transaction size and daily production windows, which can impact client relationships. Manages daily activities ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards and adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements. Develops and implements new processes and procedures to improve operating efficiency, timeliness, and workflow coordination. May have responsibility for or provide input on budget/expense management, reporting and forecasting. Responsible for decisions related to staffing and employee development. Interacts with business partners and their support groups (Compliance, Audit, Finance, etc.), as well as external clients. Employees in this role typically have prior line management experience and/or have prior operations management experience in the specific functional/product area managed.
