The Model Risk Strategic Initiatives – Program Executive is responsible for building out a program management and strategic implementation framework, to provide enhanced oversight and delivery of strategic MRM programs that will continue to enhance the effectiveness of Model Risk’s processes and drive continue improvements.
This leader will engage with an extensive set of stakeholders and activities globally, both within Model Risk Management and also with key partners within Model Development and Control teams, to understand Model Risk processes end-to-end and drive effective and sustainable improvements.
Responsibilities
Ability to lead strategic programs and projects across a range of disciplines (including delivery of large-scale technology solutions, platform / application automation and process re-engineering enhancements).
Lead engagement across MRM and partner with key stakeholders industry forums to understand Model Risk requirements, frameworks and best practice.
Lead the execution of the work through adopting a process-focused approach; understand, manage and improve processes end-to-end throughout the model development / validation / ongoing monitoring lifecycle.
Lead the coordination and review of financials, personnel, and strategic pipeline reviews
Communicate effectively with executive leadership and sponsors, providing informative updates and quantification of benefits to the Enterprise; effectively escalating risks, issues and decisions when appropriate.
Ensure various working groups and one-on-one contacts with stakeholders are effectively managed and organized, including clarity across analysis requirements and inter-connected deliverables.
Skills and Experiences
10+ years of experience in financial services industry, program management or experience in a related field
Proven delivery of Operational Excellence and a continuous improvement mindset
Creative and analytical thinking skills - with ability to comprehend, document, evaluate and improve complex business processes
Self-starter and ability to work a high degree of independence
Proven ability to lead initiatives end-to-end independently and manage varied teams (both technical and non-technical business teams) to drive change and implement programs effectively and efficiently
Superior written, verbal, presentation creation and delivery skills
Strong organization and planning ability
Experience of enterprise change policy and standards beneficial
