Job Description
The primary goal of this position is to create, adapt, and manage non-credit online courses for the Virginia Family Nutrition Program (FNP) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program (SNAP-Ed). The courses will be created primarily for SNAP-Ed eligible adults, non-technical audiences who may have limited familiarity with online learning platforms and who have limited resources, but may also include courses for SNAP-Ed partners and volunteers.
Required Qualifications
- MS in Nutrition, Public Health, Education, or Related Area
- Proficiency with the Canvas Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience teaching online courses
- Experience with project management
- Proficient knowledge of accessibility standards and ADA guidelines
- Proficiency with common software, including MS Office Suite and InDesign
- Strong communication and organization skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with audiences with low literacy
- Experience with Cooperative Extension, such as EFNEP and/or SNAP-Ed
- Experience with audio and video production
