Onboarding Specialist

OFTV is growing quickly and requires the skills of a motivated, organized, and resourceful Onboarding Specialist to assist in supporting new and existing creators and filling the platform with quality video content.

This person will be responsible for:

• Scheduling and hosting meetings with the creators.
• Organizing and uploading videos to our content management system (CMS).
• Arranging playlists, creating channels, thumbnails, adding titles, descriptions, keywords, categories, and other metadata within the CMS.
• Regular testing and quality control of videos on the website, mobile apps, and TV apps.
• Coordinating with video editors and other team members to prep content for being made live as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Reviewing user-submitted content, both raw footage, and edited videos, making recommendations for next steps (s/a send to the editor, upload as-is), and providing feedback and direction on edits.
• Ensuring that all content abides by our terms of service.
• Distinguishing content and their value to the platform.
• Becoming knowledgeable about the platform and being able to clearly and concisely explain it to new creators.
• Communicating with content creators and answering questions in a professional manner.
• Suggesting and strategizing ideas for creator content.

The ideal candidate:

• Has strong organization, communication, and technology skills.
• Has presentation skills and is comfortable taking on virtual meetings for several hours a day.
• Is able to communicate with creators and answer questions in a professional manner.
• Is able to suggest and strategize ideas for creator content and can deliver creative criticism.
• Is a self-starter and can work without heavy supervision, but also delegate well and can work as part of a team.
• Is proficient in using Google Drive, Dropbox, and other cloud-sharing services to share and organize files.
• Has a demonstrated interest in social media platforms, viral videos, and personality-focused video content such as vlogs, podcasts, sketches, collabs, and more.
• Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment

The office is based in downtown Chicago, IL. A Chicago-based candidate is preferred, but we have some flexibility for remote work.

Pay: $30/hr, or commensurate with skills and experience
