We are seeking a Recruiting & Onboarding Specialistpassionate about attracting and retaining the best talent while contributing to a unique and amazing workplace. Based in our corporate office in Champaign, IL, the Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist will report to the Human Resources Manager and be accountable for assisting in all aspects of recruiting and onboarding human resources management. This includes all components of the team member lifecycle (talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management, HR administration), execution of the job marketing process and talent management process. What will you do?

• Execute on full cycle recruitment and onboarding items for new employees

• Identifies efficiencies and improvements needed in the hiring process and works with the HR Manager to implement and train hiring managers

• Executes the job marketing process by identifying interview logic, job board sources (Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, etc) and budget.

• Assist and support in benefit orientation and enrollments, employee file management, and safety-related matters

• Initiates the HR-related onboarding checklists for the new hire and supervisor, tracking them to timely completion.

• Oversee new hire orientations including managing scheduling, coordinate with internal teams, conduct orientation, oversee onboarding process

• Increase existing team member engagement and happiness through check-ins, survey administration and event planning

• Assist in employee relations matters by being a trusted resource for employees and the company, using strong professional discretion with confidentiality and sensitive information

• Respond to employee questions and facilitate solutions in the workplace

• Assist with company event planning and coordinate onsite and virtual events, manage vendors, budget and travel needs

• Learn and ensure compliance with all Fair Housing Laws including local, state, and federal housing regulations (We provide training)

• Pivot, roll up your sleeves and jump in where needed!

Who you are – We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Have at least 2 years of human resources or talent acquisition/recruiting experience

• Have a SHRM-CP or a PHR (preferred or willing to obtain within one year of employment)

• Have a Bachelor's degree

• Are proficient with relevant technology (e.g. Microsoft Office, Paylocity, AppFolio, Outlook) and can easily adapt to changing technology

• Possess time management excellence demonstrated by ability to meet competing deadlines

• Demonstrate superior attention to detail, high energy and a positive attitude

• Have an ability to handle the most sensitive situations with kindness, respect and positivity

• Have an ability to give and receive real-time feedback with a positive mindset

• Can work independently and also work closely with other team members

Some additional things you will need:

• Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle. Limited in-town usage of personal vehicle for errands, any out-of-County personal mileage reimbursed at the Federal rate

• Availability to work longer hours and weekends during peak times for your department

• Must be able to perform the physical functions of the position, including but not limited to: ability to walk properties, complete physical inspections, deliver resident communications and show properties
