The Medical Scribe is a non-licensed member of the healthcare team whose primary responsibility is accurately documenting a provider-patient encounter in real-time. This includes the history of present illness, past medical/surgical/family and social histories, review of systems, physical exam, procedures, lab and imaging results, clinical course of the patient, diagnoses, disposition, and any other information pertinent to the encounter. Secondary to charting, the Medical Scribe serves as a workflow navigator, assisting the healthcare provider with workflow management and coordination of ancillary services. This is a non-patient care role.
We are seeking to fill one ON-CALL/PRN position that is available to be on-call (waiting to be engaged) every day for $168/week. If the employee is called-in to work, they are compensated at $15/hour. The employee must work at least one shift in a rolling 30 day period (this can be scheduled in advance). On-call coverage is split between two people to accommodate personal scheduling conflicts. On-call shifts are scheduled one month in advance.
This employee would also cover holidays at time and a half their base rate ($22.50/hour). Holiday shifts can count toward their requirement for one shift in a 30 rolling day period.
Shifts that the on-call/PRN person would possibly need to cover if called-in (Central Time):
- 6am to 4pm
- 8am to 6pm
- 2pm to 12am
- 4pm to 2am
- 10pm to 6am
