Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team. As the Office Manager/HR, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our office and ensuring its smooth functioning. This is a key role that requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain office supplies and inventory
- Maintain office policies and procedures
- Supervise clerical staff
- Payroll Preparation and Administration, including administration of employee benefits, Time & Attendance & PTO Policy
- Ensures regulatory compliance with all employee-related federal and state regulations.
- Posts employment ads, interviewing & screening potential job candidates and create job descriptions &pay plans
- New hire on-boarding and training
- Benefits administration including medical, dental, vision and 401k
- Processing terminations and ensuring COBRA compliance and unemployment claims
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person or department
- File and organize documents, both physical and electronic
- Additional tasks as needed or assigned by Dealer Principal and Controller
Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Experience with Dealertrack and ADP preferred
- Ability to supervise and provide guidance to administrative staff
- Attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Proficient in calendar management for scheduling appointments and meetings
