We have an immediate opening for an Office Coordinator to support our Ridgeland Outpatient Clinic.
BASIC FUNCTION:
- The Office Coordinator will be responsible for the reception/secretarial area
- They will coordinate functions and activities of the department including taking referrals, scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance and telephone support
- They will also be responsible for maintaining an efficient check-in process, compiling reports, and maintaining medical records
- This position requires frequent contact with attorneys, physicians, insurance companies, employers, patients, and their families, correspondence and in the clinic
- They will be responsible for indirect supervision within the office area, ensuring that the director is informed of any problem areas within the office
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate, some college preferred
- Previous experience in health care setting preferred
- Must have the ability to communicate well
- Knowledge of insurance claims processing and medical terminology
- Proficiency in typing and computer utilization
