The Stony Brook School, located in Stony Brook, NY, is an independent college preparatory school (grades 7-12) that exists to challenge young men and women to know Jesus Christ as Lord, to love others as themselves, and to grow in knowledge and skill, in order that they may serve the world through their character and leadership.
As a member of the Business Office team, the Office Assistant will support an array of projects, and assist with data entry, cash receipts, filing and other duties critical to efficient operations. This is an on- campus, 20 hour a week part-time position. Schedule is flexible within the normal workweek.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
? Data Entry such as cash receipts, student billing, credit card transactions
? Filing
? Completing and troubleshooting purchase orders
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

? Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
? Communicating effectively both verbally and written
? Adaptation to Innovation
? Self-motivated and able to work independently and handle a large volume of confidential information
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience: Preferred 3+ years experience in an office environment
Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel, Blackbaud, and Google Programs
