SunBiz Support is looking to hire anOffice Assistant to help our diverse population in Florida with the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). This position is not awork-from-home position.
We are seeking someone who has a solid foundation in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have excellent organizational skills. Must have experience interacting with the general public.
ABOUT THE ACP ENROLLMENT PROGRAM
The ACP Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure households have access to broadband for work, school, and more. The ACP Program provides access to broadband on an approved device, such as a tablet or cell phone for a period of 12 months. To qualify for this benefit, a member of the household must be a recipient of at least one federal program.
As an Enrollment Specialist, you will be responsible for providing enrollment services for individuals and families that wish to obtain a connectivity device. We assist families by supporting application completion and submission. Once approved, we provide them with a connectivity device such as a tablet or cell phone for a period of 12 months.
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Act as the first point of contact for bi-lingual inquiries.
- Prepare lists in Microsoft Excel for the Coordinator.
- Collaborate with other staff to assist families with the ACP Program.
- Attend benefit enrollment activities and meetings as requested.
- Advise applicants of the required information needed for enrollment into the ACP Program.
- Maintain applicant files and submitted monthly reports to the Coordinator.
Skills/Requirements:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience.
- Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be computer literate with a solid foundation in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be willing to attend enrollment activities.
- Experience interacting with benefits programs or providing case management services preferred.

Providing students with a tablet to access the internet when away from school helps improve grades, improve self-confidence, provide access to information, and much more.
