Award winning banquet hall, hiring experienced Office Assistant. Immediate opening. Part time hours; weekend availability is required. Weekday availability as needed. Great working environment. Must be responsible and a team player. Position starts at $17.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the full-time office staff
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages when necessary
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
- Maintain office supplies inventory and notify office staff when orders need to be placed
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Assist with data entry and record keeping
- Transcribe documents accurately and efficiently
- Assist with proofreading documents for errors or inconsistencies
Skills:
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience as a Office Assistant is a plus
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Ability to handle multiple phone lines and operate office phone systems
- Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
