Summary:
Provides clerical and Data Entry support in a clinical or medical area.
Enters data into computer systems.
Verifies accuracy of data and medical records in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company policy.
Updates files, produces reports on a regular and ad hoc basis.
Interacts with patients, visitors, suppliers as required.
Position Responsibilities:
• Keys and verifies a variety of standard and/or complex coded or un-coded business, medical, and statistical source data into a computer.
• Produces reports on a regular basis. Produces ad hoc reports as requested.
• Maintains medical records: filing, scanning, archiving. Ensures updates to medical information are filed and have the required signatures.
• Communicates with patients and medical staff, scheduling appointments, registering, and pre-certifying. Answers and routes phone calls.
• Maintains office equipment and supplies.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Basic computer usage skills in Data Entry.
Understanding of medical terminology.
Attention to detail and input accuracy.
Excellent communication skills in order to interact with patients, medical staff and other internal / external clientele.
Previous experience in a medical office preferred.
Required Education:
High School Diploma.
