Office 365 Engineer- Remote/ Heavy Travel

PlanIT Group is hiring a Traveling O365 Migration Engineer to help integrate newly acquired offices. We need someone who has experience migrating O365, installing firewalls, switches, WAPs, and configuring VLANS. You will also setup servers in an AD environment. This position requires Heavy Travel to various offices and demonstrate troubleshooting competency, deliver mission critical infrastructure, and ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. The ability to interact with customers in a professional manner is essential. You will have the opportunity to lead projects and organize a team. Would you be available? Traveling O365 Migration Engineer
65% Travel required: The ability to travel to throughout the US, Canada, and the UK, Must Haves: Valid Driver's license and U.S. Passport.
Required: At least 100 mb download, and 10 mb upload (no satellite OR cellular-based internet)
Location: When you aren't traveling you are working from your home office.
Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange/O365, Systems administrator, End User Training Experience

• Knowledge/Ability:

8+ years' experience with the following:
Systems administration

• Executing infrastructure projects as primary technical lead
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPOs
• Prior experience with virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V)
• Prior experience understanding of monitoring systems (PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios)
• Must have excellent communication
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a professional manner
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of applications
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Microsoft Exchange and O365 migration knowledge (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills with Outlook, Excel, and Word. Microsoft Project, Visio, and PowerPoint expertise
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and the ability to migrate applications to Azure

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
