Family-owned company offering land and sea, dry and refrigerated, cargo transportation services between North America and the Caribbean based in Miramar, FL is looking for an account executive to join their team.

PAY RATE: $60,000 - $70,000 + Bonus based on performance, incentives and volume.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop, close business, and generate sales as directed by the Director of Sales/Business Development.
- Work closely with overseas Offices and Agents globally to generate cargo for the Company.
- Work closely with Carriers/Vendors to find the best possible service and cost solutions for our clients.
- Record & report client contact details to the Director of Sales.
- Encourage team building in the office through cooperation and an enthusiastic attitude.
- Schedule & participate in regular Video & Conference calls with Agents, clients, and prospective clients.
- Upsell Current client’s additional services.
- Warm leads follow-up calls to prospects.
- Cold-call prospects generated by external lead sources.
- Quote rates to clients and overseas partners in a timely matter.
- Contact targeted Shippers by telephone, emails to promote company services
- Explain, promote & sell the company's service
- Provide pricing & rate quotes.
- Respond quickly to customer questions on services offered.
- Take Bookings when closing business on the spot.
- Receive, research, and respond to customers' inquiries promptly; offer customer alternatives to unresolved concerns.
- Maintain a full pipeline of opportunities and target achievable accounts while diligently updating the sales reports on activities, leads, and follow ups.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Ocean transportation plus 3PL
- 7+ years of Ocean Freight Sales experience
- Business travels, at least once a month
- Good negotiation and analytical skills
- Customer driven
- Nice to have experience in NVOCC
