Jacuzzi Group, a leading manufacturer of hot tubs, swim spas, baths, showers, saunas, and pool equipment, is seeking a passionate Occupational Health Nurse to join our global team and directly support our local plant. With their headquarters in California and operations all over the world, Jacuzzi Group has been providing innovative wellness solutions for over 65 years.
TheOccupational Health Nurse will be responsible for managing the EHS program, EHS Metrics Dashboard, Audit programs, EHS processes, and risk strategies. As an Occupational Health Nurse, they will also be accountable for establishing an on site Occupational Health Clinic.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Roselle facility EHS subject matter expert for plant safety
- Manage all data updates to the EHS dashboard and ensure accuracy
- Evaluate and treat employees’ work-related injuries and illnesses, including: First Aid, follow-ups and referrals as necessary
- Manage workers’ compensation cases
- Monitor, maintain and audit records/log of injuries, recordable and non-recordable injuries, and “near miss” occurrences
- Consistently inspecting the worksite to maintain health and safety standards.
- Responsible for managing existing EHS programs and updating all written programs as necessary
- Work with the team to conduct injury and incident investigations and develop well-executed root cause analyses to prevent recurrence
- Analyze data for injury trends, as well as support corrective action plans
- Facilitate regular safety meetings, conduct EHS training for employees and contractors
Requirements
- Registered Nursing License
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health nursing or equivalent
- 4 – 6 years of related experience in an EHS position(s) in a manufacturing environment
- CSP or CIH certification preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to compile and analyze accurate data and prepare technical reports
- Continuous improvement and safety-oriented mindset, with a forward-thinking approach to change management
- Walking or standing up to 75% of the day, with intermittent sitting
- Occasionally lift and/or move materials that weigh 30 pounds
