Job Description

Oppenheimer Asset Management Inc. (OAM) operates its own Trading Desk to support the strategies and portfolios offered by OAM through its various investment programs including accounts with an external and internal (Rep. as advisor) investment advisors. These are portfolios can consist of equities, ETFs, options, mutual funds and debt securities. The firm is seeking an OAM Trading Desk Associate to join their Asset Management team in New York. The primary role of the Associate will be to interact with the various investment managers and execute orders across all asset classes for the wrap/fee accounts under management in the program.

Responsibilities:

• Execution of Equity, ETF, Option, and Mutual Fund orders for OAM’s Wrap-fee programs
• Interacting with in-house electronic OMS and order routing platforms for Equity order execution
• Interacting with both in-house and external Money Managers regarding trading and trade related issues
• Interacting with OAM Middle-office, Reconciliation and Client Services groups on trade breaks and related clearing issues as warranted
• Participate in ad-hoc projects related to trading operations as needed

Qualifications:

• BA/BS preferably in finance or a related field
• Series 7, 63, 57 licenses
• Ability to exercise good judgement
• Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel)

Compensation:

For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
