Job Description Qualifications:
Space Mission Systems (SMS) is seeking an IPT Leader to join the O3b program within the Commercial Satellite Systems team in El Segundo, CA
This program leadership position is responsible for Spacecraft integration and test for O3b satellites F7-F13. The responsibilities include all aspects of bus module integration and test, spacecraft-level integration and test, and close coordination with other IPTs for the delivery and acceptance of hardware and other associated products. The role leads and manages a multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Team (IPT) across multiple organizations including BT&E, Operations, Production Engineering, and Common Products.
The position requires exceptional program management skills in order to successfully interact with O3b program manager, Commercial Satellite Systems leadership team and other internal executive site leaders, and the SES customer.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners leveraging One Boeing to achieve results
  • Accountable for a cross-discipline IPT
  • PT execution, delivery on cost and schedule commitments
  • Technical management of products during integration, test and delivery activities
  • Coordinating program staffing needs with Boeing Capabilities and functions

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices
  • Experience in Satellite or Space Programs and related factory operations
  • Experience in EVM (Earned Value Management)
  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and customers and their representatives
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication of complex subjects provided to executive leadership and all levels of customer engagement

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $168,300 - $227,700
