Job description

NFF is looking for experienced, competitive, and motivated Client Engagement Executive who will focus on the DC government and K-20 education accounts within the District of Columbia (DC). The successful candidate will leverage our 26 year track record of working with the DC Government and our outstanding reputation, customer satisfaction track record, past performances and well established talent acquisition engine for selling technology solutions and services to the DC Government.

  • Responsible for selling enterprise-scale IT services and solutions to DC Government agencies and education institutions.
  • Responsible for vertical account penetration, territory management, and sales growth that ensure long-term results.
  • Responsible for meeting assigned quotas by maintaining and growing existing government clients, while establishing new ones.
  • Accountable for identifying, forecasting, and closing new opportunities within assigned accounts, by understanding client project’s scope, budgets and timelines.
  • Responsible for developing and planning strategies and activities for established accounts such as prioritization of target accounts, mapping of appropriate NFF services to accounts, identification of buyer influences, overcoming sales objections, introduction of new services and solutions and making sales presentations.
  • Responsible for prospecting and selling with key NFF partners.
  • Responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty across all levels of the organization.
  • Responsible for preparing and presenting competitive proposals and bids.
  • Accountable to share customer and competitor feedback and information with NFF leadership.
  • Accountable for participation in industry sales conferences and trade shows.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Technology, or related field desired.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience selling Information Technology solutions and outsourced or managed consulting services.
  • Previous Higher Education and/or Local Government sales experience.
  • A proven track record of sales success at the Executive level and building C-Level relationships.
  • The capability of developing a strong business case and the skills to close opportunities based on the clients desired business outcome.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel as required.

 Highly Desirable:

  • Previous experience with a network and/or security solutions provider or manufacturer.
  • Proven experience selling Cisco, NetApp, Dell, Splunk or other industry products and solutions.
  • Experience working with DC Government agencies and/or schools.
