Duties
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating recreational programs to meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of residents in our senior living community. Your duties will include:
- Organizing and leading activities that promote physical and mental stimulation
- Creating and implementing programs tailored to residents' interests and abilities
- Managing schedules to ensure a variety of activities are offered daily
- Collaborating with staff to integrate activities into the overall care plan
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff members
- Planning events and outings that enhance residents' quality of life
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified Activities Director with the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience in caregiving or senior care settings
- Proficiency in aging issues counseling and memory care techniques
- Knowledge of recreational therapy principles
- Ability to manage schedules and coordinate activities effectively
- Understanding of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and dementia care practices
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Proven track record in event planning for senior populations

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
