SELECTION PROCEDURE:
This is an OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list, fill a vacancy and hire substitutes. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list.
Positions in this classification are part-time, 17.5 hours per week, 10 months per year. There are permanent and limited-term (temporary, substitute) positions available. Typical schedules are M-F 7:00am - 10:30am.
The recruitment process will consist of a written examination and an oral technical interview. Testing may occur on a weekly basis. Qualified applicants will be notified by US mail or email.
Basic Function
Under the direction of a Manager-Nutrition Services or assigned supervisor, drive a District vehicle to deliver food and supplies to District satellite locations in support of the food service operation; assist in the receiving and storing of stock; assist in other areas including food preparation, serving, cleaning and performing related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above including two years of increasingly responsible experience in quantity food preparation and service.
Licenses and Other Requirements
Valid California driver's license. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability at the District's standard rate during the term of employment. The possession of a "Food Safety Certification" issued by an approved organization must be obtained within five months of employment.
