We provide training to make sure our caregivers are highly trained and able to tackle situations they often face. We also provide the availability to advance in the company from a caregiver all the way to a registered nurse. When it comes to the family aspect this company started because of a family and their experiences in-home care. Therefore we work to recreate a similar feel by holding various activities and team bonding experiences throughout the year.
Nursing Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Schedule quarterly training with the Director of Operations for nurses/caregivers
- Performing Assessments of new clients (Filling out Paperwork, Creating a plan of care, assessing client's needs)
- Provide one-on-one training to caregivers/nurses
- Perform Client Reviews at 6 months and yearly to asses any change in client needs
- Occasional Field work including but not limited to wound care, medication setups, medication administration, etc.
- Provide ongoing assistance to clients/caregivers.
- Oversight of Day to Day care cordination
- Partake in Oncall Responsibilites
What will you need as a GLHCU Nursing Supervisor? (Requirements)
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Valid auto insurance
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation & backup transportation plan
- Social security card, Birth certificate, or Passport.
- Must be 18 years old or older
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Some form of Valid MI Nursing License (LPN, RN, BSN)
- Office/Supervisor Experience Prefered
- Fostering an environment that promotes growth (Professional and Professional)
- Creating and implementing nursing policies to foster a positive and organized work environment while planning, prioritizing and assigning health care tasks to clinical support team members
- Managing medication schedules and ensuring communication with the medical team to avoid medication errors
- Encouraging all staff to adhere to the highest standards in patient care and conducting regular staff reviews
- Maintaining knowledge of current trends in nursing and ambulatory care and educating team
- Communicating with patients and their family members as needed, and offering emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families in distress
Managing patient and employee records with a focus on following HIPAA regulations and quality standards
Providing a direct line of communication between patients, nursing staff and physicians
