The Scheduler will help with scheduling, orientation, and assisting the current HR director with various projects. The optimal candidate should have some experience as a scheduler specifically in the nursing home field. Must be a team player with good multi-tasking skills.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows the master staffing schedule created by the Director of Nursing (DON) or designee.
- Communicates continuously with DON or designee to ensure coordination of information and maintain accuracy of nursing schedule.
- Prepares daily staffing sheets with continual revisions as necessary.
- Follows center policy and DON guidelines for numbers and assignment of staff and protocol for use of in-house staffing pool.
- Completes a listing of vacant nursing positions for DON weekly.
- Perform all other general and/or specific staffing duties required.
- Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
- Possible need to fill shifts or take weekend call rotation as required by DON.
- Maintains and works within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience in health care.
- Must have one year of scheduling experience.
- High School equivalent education, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of corporate business management.
- Exhibit good verbal and written communication and public relations skills.
- Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
