Job Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN. Assists patients in performing tasks involving direct or indirect patient care, treatment and maintenance of the nursing unit.

Education/Certifications:
Minimum Education:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Required Licensure / Certifications:
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) in State of Washington
Professional Requirements
- Maintain regulatory requirements.

- Demonstrates the ability to communicate with patients, guests and staff in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists in the preparation for admission of patients.
- Assists in and accompanies patients in the admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
- Provides morning care, which may include bed bath, shower or whirlpool, oral hygiene, combing hair, back care, dressing patients, changing bed linen, cleaning overbed table and bedside stand, straightening room and other general care as necessary throughout the day.
- Provides evening care which includes hands/face washing as needed, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, freshening linen, cleaning over-bed tables, straightening room and other general care as needed.
- Notifies appropriate licensed staff when resident complains of pain.
- Provides postmortem care and assists in transporting bodies to the morgue.
- Provides general nursing care, such as positioning patients, lifting and turning patients, applying/utilizing special equipment, assisting in use of bedpan or commode and ambulating the patients.
- Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
- Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, blood pressure and intake-output.
Compensation/How We Care For You:
Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range ($19.85- $23.38/hour) dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation increment increases annually.
