This is a part-time 24 hour, day status position, with weekend and holiday rotation. You will work 2- 12 hour shifts
What You Will Do:
As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) at Catholic Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of quality patient care by performing a variety of technical components essential to patient safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct patient care activities within the scope of Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) practice, as defined by the State Board of Nursing and organizational policies.
- Assisting healthcare providers with selected patient care activities or tasks as appropriate.
- Reporting observations, symptoms, and changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Responding promptly to patient call bells, performing patient rounds, and communicating effectively with staff to meet patient needs.
- Supporting patients and families in addressing psychosocial needs and cultural preferences.
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including ambulation, transfers, range of motion, and personal hygiene.
- Participating in patient admission processes and ensuring patient privacy and dignity.
- Performing Electrocardiograms (EKGs), Capillary Blood Glucose (CBG) monitoring, and other designated technical procedures as directed.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers.
- Participating in quality monitoring activities, restocking supplies, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.
- Adhering to safety principles, infection control protocols, and organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in the State of New Hampshire.
- Basic computer keyboarding and data entry skills required.
- BLS certification required; must obtain prior to completion of orientation, not to exceed 21 days from date of hire.
- Must maintain BLS certification throughout employment.
