Requirements:

• CNA License in the State of Georgia (Required)
• Current CPR Certification
• First Aid Training
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• TB and Hepatitis Acknowledgement
• Background Check
• Proven work experience as a personal care assistant

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Make care rounds and report pertinent information as appropriate, including taking vitals and tube feeding.
• Provide personal care such as bathing, shampooing, nail care, and mouth care as directed by the patient's plan of care, following service procedures an assisting patients with necessary self-help skills, leaving the patient's immediate environment neat and clean.
• Utilize proper body mechanics to provide for positioning, mobility, or comfort needs of patients, contributing to patient safety, and reporting potential problems or concerns to the Patient Care Manager, RN, or Therapist.
• Ensure completion of resident activity and other required worksheets.
• Store equipment and supplies in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Report any complaints and grievances made by patients or family members to charge nurses.
• Responsible for storing residents' personal items properly.
• Assist in washing residents' clothes.
• May assist with housekeeping duties.
• Assisting our residents with activities of daily living to include meals and activities
• Display a manner of respect and professionalism at all times
• Assist in maintaining a home environment for our residents
• Stay up -to-date on CNA training, policies and procedures
