The primary role of the Private Duty Nursing scheduler is to provide support to clients and nurses as it relates to scheduling of their shifts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule appointments with parent of child and nurses as authorizations are received.
- Update and maintain nurses' hours and needs.
- Add appointments to scheduling system according to authorized discipline frequency.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and authorization coordinators for ongoing service authorizations.
- Notify and follow up with nursing supervisor on expiration dates for authorizations that are due.
- Identify barriers to obtaining appropriate and timely service authorizations and report to manager.
- Track and ensure timely completion of all clinical documentation required to complete concurrent authorizations, utilizing office manager when necessary.
- Utilize reports to ensure that all services are authorized within specified time frames.
- Maintain re-evaluation due date spread sheet.
- Maintain confidentiality of records, conditions, and other information relating to employees, patients, and families and to the company.
- Work independently, requiring minimal supervision in performance of duties.
- Demonstrate awareness of limitations by asking guidance when needed.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with all disciplines; promotes cooperation among health care team members and staff.
- Recognize pertinent and/or potential problems and communicates them to appropriate personnel.
- Authorization process for PDN.
- Performs other duties as assigned by administrator/alternate administrator/office manager.

Additional Compensation:
- Up to $1500 quarterly bonuses based on performance
- On call stipend - $150 each weekend team member is on call
