The Nurse Residency Program Coordinator develops and implements recruitment strategies that utilize an assortment of search techniques (Internet mining, networking, social recruiting, advertising, employee referrals, alumni outreach, and college relationships) to develop a slate of qualified candidates. The Nurse Residency Program Coordinator will assess all candidates via phone or in person prior to presenting applications/resumes to individual hospital leaders.
The Nurse Residency Program Coordinator organizes, implements, and evaluates the Nurse Residency Program to facilitate professional growth, skill development, and attainment of standards of care for Nurse Residents. The coordinator will function as a liaison between disciplines and departments ensuring smooth coordination of entry into units, communicating and collaborating with many different members of the inter-professional care team.
QualificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
Five years clinical experience preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Certified through the American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of adult learning theory and strategies. Well-developed oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills. Experienced computer skills. Knowledge of hospital infection control standards beneficial.
