Key Position Details:
Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a EP Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice based at United Hospital in St. Paul.

• 1.0 position. 40 hours per week.
• 10 hour work days.
• Inpatient and Outpatient position.
• Will perform cardioversions and loop recorder implants.
• Position includes weekend rounding in the hospital approximately 3-4 weekends per year for general cardiology.
• EMR: Excellian is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.

Job Description:
Principle Responsibilities:

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
• Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program required.
• At least one year of experience post Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant training preferred.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
• Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
• BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.
