At Queen’s Medical Center, we are dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care and cutting-edge medical services. We are seeking a new Nurse Manager to lead our Surgical ICU Unit, a critical department within our organization.
As a Nurse Manager for the Surgical ICU unit, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. You will be responsible for the coordination and management of clinical and administrative functions within the unit. This is a new department that you will have an opportunity to be a part of hiring team and building this new department.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
- Frequent: static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
- Occasional: stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of one pound up to five pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Subjected to noise/vibrations from intercoms, telephones and monitors.
- Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases.
- Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at one time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Hawaii State license as Registered Nurse
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Five (5) years progressive experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute care facility
- Two (2) years supervisor/leadership experience
- Current BLS/ HCP certification
- Evidence of continuing education
- Depending upon area of assignment, specialty certification/training may be required.
- Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), Nurse Executive (NE-BC) or Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) certification preferred
- Master’s degree preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,581.00 - $188,226.00 per year
