What You Will Do:
Your role will be in working with NNSA SRS PMO under the direction of the Sigma Science Program Manager. The mission of the PMO is to direct, administer and oversee the management, planning, technology development, design, construction, testing/commissioning and start-up of the government-owned, capital line item projects at the Savannah River Site (SRS) safely within budget, schedule and quality requirements for the established Performance Baseline. You will assist NNSA PMO, IPT, Federal Project Directors and other NNSA Offices as needed with services to support management, technical and quality requirements necessary for the successful accomplishment of program and project roles, responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities in accomplishing their mission.
- Perform, support, or shadow contractor QA / QC and contractor assurance assessments, evaluations and validations across all aspects of the contractor's QA and contractor assurance programs including but not limited to management, planning, technology development, design engineering, construction, procurement, and startup activities.
- Investigate potential contractor QA and QC concerns with vendor or field implementation.
- Perform or support PMO self-assessments to assure contractor QA program oversight coverage, quality, and contractor assurance alignment.
- Perform or support PMO self-assessment to assure QC program implementation.
- Support evaluations of the contractor's approved Supplier's List and approved Commercial Grade Supplier's List.
- Participate in and/or conduct assessments of vendor activities across all aspects of the contractor's QA and QC fabrication efforts including Commercial Grade Dedication activities.
What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Current or previous Certified NQA-1 Lead Auditor with extensive experience as a lead auditor and relevant experience must include leading, presenting and defending independent assessments.
- Must have a broad range of QA/QC knowledge with at least 10 years demonstrated experience planning and auditing QA/QC programs for effectiveness.
- Must have expert level knowledge of ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance Code NQA-1.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in commercial grade dedication, supplier qualification, and QA program development.
- Must have strong technical ability to recognize areas that warrant evaluation followed by the ability to develop plans, execute audits, and successfully defend the results.
Desired:
- Demonstrated experience with DOE O 414.1 is a substantial plus.
- Glovebox fabrication experience is a substantial plus.
- Demonstrated experience providing review and comment on design documentation specifications, drawings, etc) is a substantial plus.
- Knowledge, experience, and certifications in the field of Software Quality Assurance is a substantial plus.
- Current OR previous quality control certifications/qualifications (such as ANSI N45.2.6 Level II and Level III certifications) for one of more of the following areas: Electrical, Mechanical, Welding, Visual, Coatings, HVAC, Piping, etc. is a substantial plus. (Note these certifications are NOT required to be current.)
- A broad range of knowledge and experience across many QA and QC technical areas is a substantial plus.
